Senior Software Engineering Manager, Financial Reporting — The Home Depot (Remote)

Lead The Home Depot’s financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and record-to-report engineering teams. Drive SAP, OneStream, BlackLine, and analytics solutions across finance technology.

Description

  • Direct the Financial Reporting Experience, Forecasting and Planning, and Record to Report teams
  • Coach and develop three teams of managers, technical leads, and onshore and offshore associates
  • Manage hiring, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Oversee solution architecture, design, development, and operational support
  • Contribute to the ECC-to-S/4 Finance transformation, Store Onboarding, and other strategic initiatives
  • Deliver planning, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities with OneStream, Clarity PPM, SAP BPC, and Longview
  • Provide financial reporting and analytics through SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, BW 7.5, Analysis for Office, Tableau, and Google BigQuery
  • Deliver general ledger, fixed asset, project settlement, intercompany, close, and consolidation capabilities using SAP S/4, ECC, Group Reporting, and BlackLine
  • Work with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and technology teams to turn business objectives into practical solutions
  • Evaluate costs and benefits while identifying process improvements and proof-of-concept opportunities
  • Define consistent delivery practices covering SOX controls, change and release management, and production support
  • Typically report to a Technology Director, Senior Director, or Vice President

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Demonstrate mastery of an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java
  • Have at least 6 years of professional experience
  • Preferably bring 12+ years in IT analyst or consulting roles, including 5–7 years leading multiple distributed teams with offshore and third-party resources
  • Preferably have 7+ years of hands-on SAP experience across S/4, ECC, and BW/4HANA
  • Preferably possess strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO, Asset Accounting, and Project Systems in S/4HANA and ECC
  • Preferably have experience with SAP S/4 Group Reporting
  • Preferably have experience integrating BlackLine with SAP
  • Preferably have experience configuring and supporting Clarity PPM with MUX, XOG, GEL scripts, workflows, REST API, and Studio
  • Preferably have experience configuring and supporting OneStream, Longview, or SAP BPC
  • Preferably have experience with Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery
  • Preferably have completed at least four full financial implementation cycles and facilitated design sessions
  • Preferably have delivered business cases, project plans, and staffing plans, with knowledge of SOX and financial controls
  • Preferably have experience with formal testing tools and Windows Server with MS SQL Server
  • Hold a required bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
  • A B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems is strongly preferred; an M.S. is preferred
