Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Platforms (Hybrid)

Description

  • Partner with colleagues to design, build, test, and implement moderately complex software, technologies, and processes
  • Maintain IT architecture, large-scale data repositories, and cloud-hosted systems
  • Evaluate customer and business needs, refine technical requirements, and turn them into scalable designs and implementation plans
  • Support deployments and operational readiness through logging, monitoring, configuration management, and production support
  • Build, test, and deploy software with Node.js, Python, .NET, ReactJS, and ExpressJS
  • Develop and connect cloud-native capabilities using AWS Lambda, S3, ECS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Textract, and load-balancing services
  • Coordinate development, testing, deployment, and production-readiness work across the team
  • Work with product owners, architects, developers, security specialists, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions and address technical dependencies
  • Use secure engineering practices covering IAM, SSO, secrets management, access controls, and least-privilege policies
  • Investigate application, integration, infrastructure, and production problems, identify root causes, and deliver lasting fixes
  • Create and operate GitLab and Terraform CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, deployment safeguards, and security scanning

Requirements

  • At least two years of professional experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production software
  • Practical experience with a backend language or runtime such as Node.js, Python, or .NET
  • Experience building cloud applications and services, ideally with AWS technologies such as Lambda, S3, ECS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, or load balancing
  • Working knowledge of data structures, testing, debugging, application security, and software development lifecycle practices
  • Willingness to learn and thoughtfully apply emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Understanding of identity and access management and secure application development, including IAM, SSO, least-privilege access, and vulnerability scanning
  • Understanding of CI/CD methods and tools such as GitLab, Terraform, automated deployment pipelines, and source control
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration tools such as APIGEE or comparable API management platforms
  • Experience creating and integrating RESTful APIs with modern web frameworks such as ReactJS and/or ExpressJS
  • Experience maintaining GitLab and Terraform CI/CD pipelines with automated tests, deployment controls, and SAST, SCA, and DAST scanning
  • AWS certification, such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or Developer, is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
