Senior Sales Account Manager, New York

Grow Wyld’s cannabis edibles and beverages business with New York retailers. Manage distributor relationships, key accounts, product placements, promotions, and territory sales.

Description

  • Create and execute sales plans.
  • Prospect for new customers and grow existing accounts through in-person and phone outreach.
  • Partner with distributors to secure product placements in on-premise and off-premise accounts.
  • Build distributor representatives’ product knowledge and keep Wyld top of mind during sales calls.
  • Strengthen key account relationships and plan ways to increase product sales and shelf visibility.
  • Coordinate promotions and incentives with retailers.
  • Represent the company at relevant trade shows and events.
  • Keep partners informed about product launches, innovations, and sales plans.
  • Track competitors to understand market shifts and protect market share.
  • Review monthly sales and product data to find growth opportunities and monitor market trends.
  • Join sales meetings to review trends, data, targets, and industry feedback.
  • Monitor distributor performance.
  • Maintain purposeful communication with distributor leaders and sales representatives.
  • Support distributor representatives’ development through product education.
  • Coach distributor representatives and equip them to secure placements.
  • Take on other duties as business needs require.
  • Report to the Vice President of Sales.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in direct sales, sales operations, or a related field.
  • Consumer packaged goods and wholesaler management experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including professional communication with managers, staff, and officers at all levels.
  • Ability to take ownership and maintain a growth mindset.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively and respond to questions and suggestions.
  • Ability to present brand information clearly and engagingly.
  • Must complete a background check.
  • Must complete a motor vehicle records check.
  • Travel throughout the territory is required, up to 90%.
