Senior Program and Project Risk Analyst

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Program and Project Risk Analyst to support risk management across engineering and construction projects. The role involves cost and schedule modeling, facilitating workshops, and advising client teams.

Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with client project teams, providing ongoing risk management support.
  • Work with client teams to understand projects and assess scope, schedule, and estimate documentation.
  • Lead risk management workshops and keep clear records of discussions.
  • Enter data and operate schedule modeling software, preferably Safran.
  • Create presentations, executive summaries, and detailed project reports using standard templates and preliminary content.
  • Review documents for quality before they are submitted to clients.
  • Use @Risk to analyze project costs and develop modeling scenarios.
  • Draft risk management content for proposals and maintain internal training materials.
  • Support project risk management within the company and advise on strategies for projects and proposals.
  • Keep internal processes, procedures, and work instructions current.
  • Identify business opportunities with external clients for risk management services.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and prioritize work effectively.
  • Deliver workshops virtually or travel to client sites when needed.

Requirements

  • A university degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline, together with relevant experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in design or construction, including at least 5 years in risk modeling.
  • Able to assess MS Project and Primavera P6 schedules and recreate high-level schedules for modeling.
  • Able to analyze cost data, typically in Excel, classify project costs, and identify contingencies.
  • Strong knowledge of AACE estimate classes and what they mean for project estimates.
  • Proficiency with risk modeling software; experience with @Risk is essential.
  • Familiarity with risk management tools such as Safran, PRC, and ARM is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills, including the ability to build projects from scratch.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-changing environment while balancing and prioritizing workloads.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
