Senior Platform DevOps Engineer (AI) - Annapolis Junction, MD

Build and operate cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and container platforms for AI applications. Support Markon’s federal intelligence and defense consulting programs.

Description

  • Support customer operations, capability integration, and rapid prototyping for AI-enabled tools
  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS and Microsoft Azure infrastructure for enterprise AI applications
  • Improve engineering workflows for developing, deploying, and maintaining AI models and agents
  • Architect and operate CI/CD pipelines for AI models, agents, and applications
  • Deploy and administer Docker and Kubernetes environments
  • Implement control-plane safeguards for identity, policy enforcement, approvals, auditing, logging, and observability
  • Manage AI model and agent lifecycles, including version control, monitoring, and scaling
  • Partner with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to improve deployment efficiency and resource utilization
  • Monitor the performance, security, and scalability of AI infrastructure
  • Support RMF and ATO accreditation activities for AI systems
  • Evaluate and adopt DevOps tools and practices that improve operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 10+ years of experience, or a relevant master’s degree and 8+ years of experience
  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
  • Demonstrated expertise with Docker and Kubernetes containerization
  • Proven ability to architect and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Extensive experience managing and maintaining AI model lifecycles
  • Experience deploying and administering infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and their infrastructure implications
  • Commitment to staying current with emerging DevOps and AI technologies
