Description

  • Independently plan and deliver complex quarterly or multi-quarter projects, establishing measurable milestones and managing dependencies and scope
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape product direction, identify high-impact improvements, deliver customer value, and improve feedback cycles
  • Lead technical initiatives that increase team productivity and strengthen software quality
  • Support colleagues through mentoring
  • Advance the effective use of AI-assisted development and agentic coding practices
  • Help evolve Smoobu Tech toward a cloud-native, service-oriented architecture
  • Create products that improve host and guest experiences, including guest communications, guest guides, and online check-in management

Requirements

  • Substantial backend development experience with PHP and Symfony
  • Advanced knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Working knowledge of Docker and containerized infrastructure
  • Experience designing and supporting event-driven, asynchronous, and integration-intensive systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the initiative to drive technical solutions in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience using AI-assisted development methods, including agentic coding tools and workflows
  • Commercial curiosity and an entrepreneurial approach
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed, multinational team
  • Knowledge of layered architecture, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design is an advantage
  • Full-stack experience spanning infrastructure and frontend development is an advantage
