- Design and implement scalable MySQL database architectures
- Deliver hands-on MySQL installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration expertise
- Tune database performance, optimize queries, and resolve operational issues
- Build and manage high-availability, replication, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Partner with development and infrastructure teams on database design and engineering practices
- Monitor database health, capacity, security, and availability
- Investigate and resolve complex production database incidents
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience in MySQL database administration or architecture
- Strong practical knowledge of MySQL, SQL, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience with MySQL replication, InnoDB, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery
- Background in database migration and upgrade initiatives
- Strong understanding of Linux and Unix environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities
