Senior Operations Manager – Sieroniowice, Poland (Onsite)
Lead logistics operations and operational excellence for Schaeffler’s new distribution center in Poland. The role covers greenfield process setup, 3PL coordination, KPI management, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
Description
- Oversee safety, quality, performance, and customer experience across distribution center operations
- Manage and advance logistics activities through an operational excellence framework
- Establish processes at the greenfield site in partnership with the logistics service provider
- Set performance KPIs and support the logistics provider in fulfilling contractual commitments
- Review and improve internal and external workflows, structures, and processes
- Develop improvement initiatives with the site manager and logistics provider
- Lead direct and indirect reports while setting clear performance expectations
- Maintain delivery capability, budget compliance, investment planning, and equipment oversight
- Track inventory, warehouse organization, and rework activities
- Partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and the 3PL provider to obtain project support and resources
- Promote best practices across departments, shifts, and the wider network
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, combined with relevant experience in a comparable role
- Professional background in logistics leadership
- Proven ability to lead with a practical, proactive approach
- Experience establishing standards and delivering complex improvement initiatives
- Willingness and ability to create processes from the ground up
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end logistics, including inbound and outbound operations, picking, packaging, and inventory
- Experience leading logistics projects or operational expansions is advantageous
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to balance strategic planning with close attention to operational execution
- Fluent written and spoken English and Polish at minimum B2 level
- German language skills are advantageous
- Practical, proactive, and solution-focused approach
