Senior Odoo Software Engineer — Remote in Ukraine

Description
- Develop and maintain Odoo customisations for finance and project-management platforms, including a bespoke expense application.
- Create and support integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and banking systems.
- Migrate historical data through scripted, repeatable loads with dry-run validation and cutover procedures.
- Build and maintain testing pipelines, including test and mock data.
- Work with the Odoo Functional Consultant to define requirements and assess solution options.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager on estimates, progress updates, and risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
- Provide post-go-live system support.
- Apply AI coding tools in daily development work.
- Handle other responsibilities aligned with the purpose of the role.
Requirements
- At least three years of commercial Python development experience.
- At least two years of experience building custom Odoo modules on recent Odoo versions.
- Advanced Odoo back-end expertise, including ORM, inheritance, security, reports, and scheduled actions.
- Advanced Odoo front-end expertise with OWL and JavaScript.
- Experience developing custom, user-facing Odoo applications.
- Experience integrating Odoo with external platforms through REST and Odoo external APIs.
- Experience implementing reliable error-handling mechanisms.
- Practical experience with data migration, including scripted repeatable loads, validation, and data quality assurance.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and Odoo deployment and maintenance practices.
- Strong testing discipline covering automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and test data management.
- Ability to work and deliver independently.
- Professional proficiency in English and Ukrainian.
