Senior Kinaxis Maestro Functional Consultant - Oregon Remote

Lead Kinaxis Maestro demand and supply-planning capabilities for North American operations. This contract role is remote in Oregon with limited travel.

Description

  • Own functional expertise for North American demand-planning and supply-planning processes.
  • Maintain end-to-end knowledge of planning decisions, business rules, planning horizons, master data, KPIs, ownership, decision rights, handoffs, and standard work.
  • Convert business-process needs into functional requirements, solution alternatives, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
  • Act as the Kinaxis Maestro functional technology authority across planning models, workbooks, dashboards, task flows, scorecards, control tables, alerts, scenarios, business rules, master-data dependencies, integrations, reporting, and user experience.
  • Lead or substantially support functional design work and review and approve Kinaxis solution designs and configurations.
  • Assess Kinaxis capabilities and product releases, recommending adoption when they deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborate with architecture, data and integration, security, delivery, and application teams on cross-system effects and enterprise standards.
  • Provide functional leadership from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and ongoing improvement.
  • Create or review functional documentation, process flows, solution decisions, configuration records, test evidence, release materials, support procedures, and knowledge-transfer content.
  • Lead functional response to complex production incidents and recurring issues, validate resolutions, and drive root-cause corrections.
  • Oversee managed-service providers and implementation partners by evaluating estimates, designs, deliverables, service expectations, and internal knowledge retention.
  • Support business readiness, super-user training, release communications, and adoption efforts.
  • Own functional technology for North American planning capabilities supporting the United States and Canada across Run, Change, and Transform work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in supply-chain planning, enterprise-planning technology, IT functional consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both demand planning and supply planning.
  • Required experience implementing, enhancing, or supporting Kinaxis RapidResponse or Kinaxis Maestro in production.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting, forecast reviews, accuracy and bias, demand consensus, supply and production planning, capacity and material constraints, inventory planning, scenario analysis, exception-based planning, and planning master data.
  • Experience turning business processes and requirements into functional designs, configuration decisions, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sustainable support practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, master data, integrations, enterprise data platforms, reporting, and cross-functional advanced-planning processes.
  • Experience across the systems development lifecycle, including testing, release management, incident and problem management, and change control for enterprise applications.
  • Experience overseeing systems integrators, managed-service providers, or software vendors and evaluating partner estimates, designs, configurations, documentation, and results.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with planning leaders, planners, IT teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority, make sound functional recommendations, balance business outcomes with platform integrity, and resolve issues through completion.
  • Experience in global manufacturing, agriculture, consumer products, or food and beverage is preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM, Kinaxis, or another recognized supply-chain planning or platform certification is preferred.
  • Limited travel may be required.
