Senior Java Developer – Remote in Poland

Description
- Develop and maintain tailored software solutions for a major European public-sector technology provider
- Build software components in line with approved design specifications
- Carry out system integration and testing activities
- Investigate technical issues and implement effective resolutions
- Write and execute unit tests for software components
- Help estimate project scope, effort, and delivery schedules
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders
- Contribute technical recommendations to product roadmap planning
- Support incident triage, investigation, and prioritization
- Maintain and improve CI/CD processes
- Help develop a tax administration platform supporting tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems
Requirements
- At least six years of professional Java development experience
- Strong practical experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience using relational databases, including PostgreSQL or another RDBMS
- Experience with REST and SOAP integrations and messaging technologies such as Kafka and ActiveMQ
- Solid understanding of software testing principles
- Confident written and spoken English communication
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams
- Angular front-end development experience is desirable
- German or Swiss German proficiency is desirable
