Description

Build software components from design specifications
Integrate and test systems
Diagnose and resolve technical issues
Write unit tests for software components
Help estimate project effort and delivery schedules
Work closely with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders
Advise on product roadmaps
Join incident triage, analysis, and prioritization
Maintain and improve CI/CD processes
Develop and maintain tailored software for a major European public-sector technology provider
Help build a tax administration system for processing tax declarations, calculating and assessing taxes, and integrating with external systems

Requirements

At least 6 years of Java development experience
Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus
Knowledge of microservices architecture and container platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS
Experience with REST and SOAP integrations and messaging technologies such as Kafka and ActiveMQ
Good understanding of software testing principles
Confident English communication skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams
Angular front-end development experience is an advantage
German or Swiss German language skills are an advantage
Experience with Java, Spring, Quarkus, Angular, PostgreSQL, RESTEasy, Hibernate/Panache, Kafka, Maven, Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, and Grafana
