Senior Java Backend Developer – Spring Boot (Remote Spain)

- Build backend services with Java and Spring Boot
- Work with microservice architectures on an international insurance-sector project
- Manage SQL databases using Spring Data and JPA
- Integrate REST APIs through HTTP clients
- Develop reactive solutions with Spring WebFlux
- Create and maintain unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito
- Apply foundational DevOps practices using CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Collaborate within Agile methodologies
Requirements
- At least six years of experience as a Java backend developer
- Strong hands-on experience developing with Spring Boot
- Advanced English proficiency is essential
- Experience with Java, preferably Java 17 or later
- At least six years of practical experience with Spring Boot 3 or later
- Proficiency with SQL databases and Spring Data / JPA
- Experience consuming REST APIs with HTTP clients such as RestTemplate, RestClient, WebClient, or Feign
- At least one year of experience with Spring WebFlux
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito
- Foundational DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with Spring Batch, Apache Kafka, architecture, Azure DevOps, or SwaggerHub is valued
- Residence within Spanish territory is required
