Senior IT Analyst, Azure Virtual Desktop — Honeywell, Mexico
Manage Honeywell’s Azure Virtual Desktop and VMware Horizon environments, supporting secure, reliable virtual desktops. Automate provisioning, monitoring, and reporting with PowerShell, Python, and GitHub.
Description
- Design and manage scalable Azure Virtual Desktop environments in Azure.
- Configure user access, security policies, and FSLogix profile management.
- Monitor and improve AVD performance, cost, and reliability.
- Create PowerShell and Python scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Use GitHub for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD integration.
- Create dashboards and alerts for VDI health and performance with Azure Monitor or other tools.
- Administer and support VMware Horizon, including connection servers, Unified Access Gateways, and desktop pools.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows virtual desktops.
- Work with infrastructure and security teams to support compliance and resilience.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for VDI incidents and service requests.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidance.
- Join the on-call rotation and support incident response as needed.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and operations.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience administering VMware Horizon.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- English proficiency.
- Five years of experience.
- Experience using GitHub for source control and automation workflows.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, FSLogix, and conditional access.
- Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.
