Senior Infrastructure Consultant - UK Remote
Senior Infrastructure Consultant delivering enterprise infrastructure projects for Technimove’s global IT service-provider clients. The role covers design, migration and support across virtualisation, storage, Kubernetes and emerging AI infrastructure.
Description
- Design, build and support enterprise compute, virtualisation, storage and container infrastructure
- Work with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Microsoft Hyper-V and/or Proxmox VE
- Design and support enterprise storage environments using SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI and NFS
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments
- Deploy and support Kubernetes and containerised workloads
- Create HLDs, LLDs, migration and implementation plans, and technical documentation
- Lead or support infrastructure migrations, upgrades and technology refresh initiatives
- Engage customers through discovery sessions, technical workshops and solution design
- Partner with sales and pre-sales teams on technical solutions and statements of work
- Resolve complex infrastructure issues and coordinate with vendors when needed
- Share expertise and provide technical direction to fellow engineers
- Build expertise in AI infrastructure, automation and emerging data centre technologies
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise across virtualisation, compute, storage and enterprise infrastructure
- Experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Microsoft Hyper-V and/or Proxmox VE
- Experience with enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI and NFS
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server environments
- Experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes and containerised workloads
- Experience creating HLDs, LLDs, migration and implementation plans, and technical documentation
- Experience leading or supporting infrastructure migrations, upgrades and technology refresh initiatives
- Background in customer-facing consultancy and implementation
- Understanding of core infrastructure networking principles
- Experience troubleshooting complex issues across compute, storage, virtualisation and operating systems
- Experience with vSphere/VCF, vSAN, NSX, Nutanix AOS/Prism, HCI, enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python or public cloud is advantageous
- Experience with NVIDIA DGX/HGX, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, GPU Operator, Base Command Manager or AI Factory environments is beneficial but not required
- Curiosity about technology and a genuine interest in AI infrastructure
- Ability to work directly with customers, own technical delivery and explain complex concepts to varied audiences
- UK work authorisation may be relevant, as indicated by the sponsorship question
