Senior Healthcare Application Architect - Data and ETL (Remote)

Designing healthcare data mappings, specifications, and ETL solutions for regulated implementations. Supporting analysis, testing, certification, and delivery across healthcare technology projects.

Description

  • Lead a small team of data analysts or partner with analysts on project work
  • Create program specifications and source-to-target mapping documentation
  • Analyze data to identify transformation requirements
  • Partner with ETL, reporting, and conversion teams to align code with documented business requirements
  • Test interfaces and reports against defined requirements
  • Identify effective practices and recommend process improvements
  • Work with the development lead to assign and complete project tasks on schedule
  • Coordinate project work assignments with the development lead
  • Complete required project documentation with project management
  • Produce accurate mapping documents in accordance with established processes
  • Deliver solution designs to ETL, reporting, and conversion teams for development
  • Support DSD creation and response activities
  • Present analysis and design recommendations to MITA teams, customers, and vendors
  • Provide mapping-based support to ETL, reporting, and conversion developers
  • Coordinate with configuration teams and DBAs to align configuration with interfaces and mappings
  • Update mapping documents as questions are resolved
  • Apply SQL, data models, data element dictionaries, and schemas to data and business analysis
  • Develop unit test cases
  • Assess test plan results against detailed design objectives
  • Maintain technical specifications and mapping documentation
  • Support unit, system integration, system, and user acceptance testing

Requirements

  • At least five years supporting pharmacy benefits, claims administration, Medicaid, Medicare, healthcare payers, or another highly regulated healthcare environment
  • At least seven years using SQL to analyze, validate, reconcile, transform, or troubleshoot complex relational data
  • Experience supporting a large-scale system implementation, modernization, conversion, or DDI program
  • Proven experience creating source-to-target mappings, interface specifications, data analysis outputs, and testing artifacts
  • Experience writing or maintaining ICDs, companion guides, and detailed mapping workbooks
  • Experience supporting CMS or state certification activities
  • Ability to lead a small data analyst team or collaborate effectively with analysts
  • Ability to create program specifications and mapping documents
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze requirements
  • Ability to present findings to colleagues, clients, and vendors
  • Ability to apply SQL, data models, data element dictionaries, and schemas to data and business analysis
  • Video cameras are required for all interviews and the first week of orientation
