Senior Health Actuary

Lead complex health actuarial client engagements, deliver strategic recommendations, and support practice growth at Marsh McLennan while mentoring teams and developing innovative solutions.

Description

  • Direct actuarial and financial engagements and maintain client relationships
  • Review and present client reports that summarize findings and recommend strategies or solutions
  • Conduct senior-level reviews of actuarial opinion statements, underwriting work, analyses, and projections
  • Support business development by finding growth opportunities and contributing to AFG proposals
  • Lead, develop, and support team members
  • Expand health actuarial thought leadership and create innovative solutions
  • Help grow the health actuarial practice
  • Mentor high-performing team members
  • Source new business opportunities

Requirements

  • Consulting background serving large client populations of 10,000 or more lives
  • Relevant experience in group health and benefits
  • Track record of managing client relationships and delivering complex presentations and recommendations
  • Professional experience leading and developing team members
  • ASA or FSA credential
  • Demonstrated business development success and ability to uncover growth opportunities
  • Experience directing successful intellectual capital initiatives for health actuarial services and products
  • Expertise in innovative networks, health plans, data science, or predictive analytics
