Senior Frontend Engineer (Remote - United Kingdom)
Lead frontend development for Peratera’s global payments platform, building Angular and React applications. Shape frontend architecture, reusable components, integrations, and reliable production delivery.
Description
- Lead frontend work from technical design through implementation, testing, and release to production
- Build and enhance customer-facing applications supporting payments, accounts, transactions, and financial operations
- Create reusable UI components and features with Angular, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Convert product and business needs into practical frontend designs and technical solutions
- Help define frontend architecture, engineering decisions, shared patterns, and development standards
- Connect frontend applications to REST APIs and supporting backend services
- Partner with Backend Engineers to establish API contracts and deliver complete end-to-end functionality
- Modernize legacy components while applying contemporary frontend approaches where they add value
- Investigate and resolve concerns involving performance, reliability, security, and user experience
- Produce thoroughly tested code and contribute to reviews, debugging, technical conversations, and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate with Product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
Requirements
- At least five years of professional frontend engineering experience
- Strong practical experience with modern Angular and React, including Angular 16+ and React 17+
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- A solid grasp of component-based frontend architecture
- Experience creating complex interfaces and reusable UI components with Angular, React, and Tailwind CSS
- Practical knowledge of state management and reactive programming with NgRx, Redux, Zustand, RxJS, or comparable tools
- Experience connecting frontend applications to REST APIs and implementing authentication and authorization flows such as OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT
- Experience with unit and integration testing, debugging, performance optimization, Git, CI/CD, and code review
- Confidence working in established production codebases and improving them without unnecessary rewrites
- Ability to own frontend solutions and make well-reasoned technical decisions
- Strong focus on code quality, security, performance, and user experience
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or another regulated industry is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with back-office systems, administration portals, dashboards, or operational tools is advantageous
- Understanding of frontend security practices, including XSS and CSRF mitigation and secure sensitive-data handling, is advantageous
- Familiarity with PHP, CodeIgniter, micro-frontends, modular frontend architecture, or design systems is advantageous
