Senior Flight Test Engineer

Test missile and launch systems for Falk Defence, from components to complete systems. Plan test campaigns, commission measurement systems, and analyze results for defence applications.

Description

  • Test missile and launch systems, from individual components through complete systems
  • Develop plans and procedures for component, subsystem, and system tests
  • Design, build, and commission test benches and measurement systems
  • Plan, run, and assess development, qualification, and acceptance tests
  • Coordinate testing with external facilities and flight-test ranges
  • Maintain complete, traceable test records and end-to-end documentation
  • Support flight-test campaigns
  • Investigate faults systematically and identify root causes

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical, aerospace, or mechanical engineering, or a comparable discipline
  • Practical, hands-on approach and structured, safety-conscious working habits
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including assignments lasting several weeks at test ranges
  • Experience with missile, aerospace, or aviation systems is an advantage
  • Familiarity with flight-test ranges and their requirements is an advantage
  • Experience with pyrotechnic systems and rocket motors, plus authorization to handle explosives, is an advantage
  • Knowledge of measurement technology, data acquisition, and data analysis is an advantage
  • Familiarity with military testing and qualification standards such as MIL-STD, AECTP, or STANAG is an advantage
  • Very good German (at least C1) and good English language skills
  • Citizenship in an EU or NATO member state, excluding the United States, and willingness to undergo security clearance under Germany’s Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
