Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect (AWS)
Set AWS architecture, security, resilience, and FinOps standards for HFM’s global multi-asset trading business. Build compliant cloud guardrails and reusable reference implementations.
Description
- Lead AWS target architecture across accounts, landing zones, identity, and environment boundaries.
- Establish workload patterns and automated infrastructure-as-code policy checks to enforce cloud guardrails.
- Own cloud security, resilience, and recovery architecture, including multi-AZ and multi-region designs.
- Review high-impact cloud designs, estimate operating costs, and deliver timely recommendations.
- Build cost efficiency into cloud designs and set tagging and cost allocation standards with FinOps.
- Develop reference implementations and golden paths through code prototypes.
- Work with architects, engineering teams, and stakeholders to turn business needs into robust, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field at bachelor’s or master’s level, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years in cloud engineering or architecture, including extensive hands-on AWS experience at production scale.
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Expertise in AWS Organizations, landing zone design, IAM, and multi-account security.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience; AWS CDK is a plus, as is enforcing standards during provisioning.
- Deep knowledge of AWS container platforms, including Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
- Practical knowledge of AWS costs, resilience design, and security controls for regulated financial businesses.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional credential, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied stakeholders.
