Senior Engineering Manager, Financial Data and Analytics — Commure Hybrid

Lead financial data, reporting, and analytics engineering for Commure’s AI healthcare platform. Manage engineers while driving accurate ledger migrations and dependable systems for revenue cycle customers.

Description

  • Lead and expand a 6-to-8-person engineering team
  • Own hiring, performance reviews, and career development
  • Coach engineers to independently handle customer escalations, data migrations, and incidents
  • Define the roadmap in partnership with product
  • Move customers from custom report requests toward self-service reporting and independent book closing
  • Account for financial accuracy across the platform
  • Operate parity harnesses, cross-report tie-outs, drift monitoring, and correctness SLOs
  • Guide multi-quarter migrations of ledger reports and OLAP golden views, including parity validation
  • Build relationships with comptrollers, CFOs, and RCM directors during month-end close
  • Turn customer-defined standards of correctness into software
  • Use recurring escalations to shape roadmap priorities
  • Coordinate delivery with payments and posting, data infrastructure, and operations teams
  • Protect downstream financial figures from breaking changes upstream

Requirements

  • At least five years managing software engineers, including senior and staff-level contributors
  • A record of developing engineers into lead and staff-level roles
  • Experience delivering production financial, reporting, or data-intensive systems where figures had to reconcile
  • Backend and data expertise, including query-plan review, ledger-design evaluation, and parity-failure debugging
  • Experience setting strategic direction for a product area
  • Ability to explain financial system changes to CFOs
  • Strong operational practices covering on-call, SLOs, and correctness and availability monitoring
  • Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information and communicate timeline resets candidly
  • Availability to work from an office at least three days per week
  • Authorization to work in the United States; the application includes a sponsorship question
  • Preferred: experience with healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, practice management, clearinghouses, or fintech
  • Preferred: experience with OLAP systems such as StarRocks, ClickHouse, or Druid in addition to PostgreSQL
  • Preferred: familiarity with double-entry accounting, append-only ledgers, or audit-trail requirements
  • Preferred: experience re-architecting platforms while keeping the existing system operational
  • Preferred: experience delivering production LLM features
