Description

  • Lead and develop engineers while supporting their career progression
  • Work with Product, Design, Engineering, and senior leadership to establish and iteratively deliver a quarterly roadmap
  • Set technical direction and uphold strong coding standards, engineering practices, and distributed-system reliability
  • Remain engaged through design and code reviews, incident leadership, on-call work, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Develop processes that raise engineering quality and help the team meet service-level commitments
  • Collaborate with recruiting to attract and hire capable engineers
  • Manage a team building dependable data services along with privacy and governance capabilities for responsible data use

Requirements

  • At least seven years of software engineering experience, preferably in data platforms or infrastructure, including two or more years managing engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience building, delivering, and operating distributed systems at scale
  • Strong technical judgment with the ability to promote quality, maintainability, and effective development practices
  • Execution-oriented approach to ambiguity, short- and long-term tradeoffs, and translating complex objectives into actionable work
  • Hands-on leadership approach with a willingness to contribute to technical and operational work
  • Experience leading technical change within a large, rapidly evolving organization
  • Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, including Bitcoin or Ethereum
  • Clear communication, strong ownership, and a customer-focused mindset
  • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to produce business-ready results and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
