Description
- Build and migrate Online Booking and My Account features in React while keeping the live patient experience reliable
- Develop across React, TypeScript, and Rails, integrating frontend functionality with APIs and services
- Advocate for accessibility improvements that support keyboard and screen-reader users throughout the booking journey
- Participate in technical discussions, design documentation, and architecture planning
- Take ownership of complex, persistent bugs and strengthen the surrounding codebase
- Help teammates grow through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Use feature flags and production monitoring to deliver safer releases
- Apply AI thoughtfully to speed up migrations and daily development while preserving quality
Requirements
- Approximately five or more years of professional software development experience, including work at a senior level
- Strong practical experience developing with React and TypeScript
- Full-stack experience spanning frontend features, APIs, and backend development
- Experience incrementally modernizing a mature codebase while it continues operating in production
- Working knowledge of accessibility practices including WCAG 2.1 AA, keyboard interactions, focus management, and ARIA
- Experience delivering software with feature flags, phased rollouts, and production monitoring
- Clear, collaborative communicator who explains decisions, welcomes feedback, and raises concerns early and constructively
- Regular use of AI in development workflows and interest in applying it to substantial code changes
- Ruby on Rails experience is preferred but not required
- Additional experience with client-side routing, state management such as Redux Toolkit, practical screen-reader testing, or embeddable widgets is beneficial
- Must currently reside in Canada and have legal authorization to work there without employer sponsorship
- Relocation, visa sponsorship, and third-party employer-of-record support are not available
