Senior Design System Designer — Spain Remote

Senior Product Designer shaping AI-ready design systems for OLX Group’s real estate marketplace products. Develop reusable components and workflows that align brands, designers, and engineers.

Description

  • Evolve reusable design-system components, patterns, and foundations
  • Define component behavior, states, and variants with engineering partners
  • Manage and improve the process for proposing and delivering components
  • Support design projects from problem framing through documentation and handover
  • Produce specifications covering variants, edge cases, and usage guidance
  • Partner with engineers on token strategy and the relationship between Figma and production code
  • Balance immediate product requirements with long-term system coherence
  • Help product design teams identify gaps and strengthen systems thinking
  • Use AI-assisted tools for research, prototyping, and component definition
  • Prepare the system for AI-supported workflows through tokens, documentation, and reusable patterns
  • Apply design judgment to assess and override AI-generated output when needed

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining design systems at scale
  • Experience operating or contributing to a component contribution model, or a well-reasoned approach to establishing one
  • Strong technical fluency with the ability to translate design decisions into code
  • Sound judgment when balancing consistency with necessary exceptions
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain design-system decisions to stakeholders
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools and interest in applying them to improve speed, quality, and consistency
  • Portfolio showing strong product and systems thinking with measurable shipped impact
  • Hands-on Figma experience with component libraries, variables, and tokens
  • Experience creating built or coded prototypes
  • Track record of close collaboration with engineers
  • Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted design or development workflows
