Senior Data Engineer, Snowflake — AND Digital, Bristol Hybrid Contract
Build and lead Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster data pipelines for AND Digital, helping organisations address complex technology challenges. Own scalable data models, machine learning workflows, governance, and security.
Description
- Architect, build, and deploy modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster
- Create automated, modular transformation pipelines within a modern cloud data warehouse
- Establish a clean, tiered physical data architecture spanning raw ingestion through governed data marts
- Develop scalable data models and machine learning models
- Implement enterprise-grade security, automated quality testing, role-based access controls, and dynamic masking for sensitive customer data
- Promote engineering standards for CI/CD, version control, and automated orchestration
- Partner with product managers, analytics leads, and platform architects
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Lead or Senior Data Engineer
- A strong record of designing and operating data solutions in enterprise cloud data warehouses
- Advanced SQL and Python engineering capability
- Extensive experience with modern data transformation frameworks and workflow DAG orchestrators
- Demonstrated experience building data models with dbt
- Practical experience creating automated unit and integration tests, tracking lineage, and implementing role-based privacy controls
- Experience delivering work in fast-paced sprint cycles and dividing complex epics into clear, shippable increments
- Experience across the machine learning model development lifecycle in Snowflake
- Martech experience is highly desirable
