Senior Data Engineer - Remote United States
Netsmart is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable pipelines, data warehouses, and governance frameworks for its healthcare technology platform. The role leads advanced analytics, enterprise data integration, and data infrastructure improvements.
Description
- Build, refine, and support complex data pipelines with advanced SQL, ETL platforms, and integration technologies
- Partner with teams across the organization to deliver data capabilities for advanced analytics and data science
- Drive automation, delivery improvements, and infrastructure redesigns that increase scalability
- Assess emerging technologies and guide their use in enterprise data integration strategies
- Lead technical discovery, clarify complex requirements, and document detailed use cases
- Create, maintain, and improve data governance policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or a related discipline
- Five or more years of experience in data engineering or a comparable field
- Advanced proficiency in several programming languages, including Python, Java, and Scala
- Expert command of SQL
- Substantial experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
- Professional experience working in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments
- Track record of designing and delivering large-scale data warehousing solutions
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and enterprise ETL technologies
- Ability to resolve complex analytical challenges
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required
