Senior Data Engineer at CI&T — Hybrid, Brazil
Build data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and analytics integrations supporting CI&T’s AI-powered digital solutions. Partner with Martech and product teams serving Financial Services and Insurance clients.
Description
- Develop digital customer data infrastructure for Financial Services and Insurance clients
- Build and maintain pipelines and infrastructure for digital analytics platforms
- Collaborate with Martech specialists to ingest, transform, and prepare data for analysis
- Oversee platform data integrity, availability, and consistency across its lifecycle
- Maintain stable, current platform technology aligned with business requirements
- Orchestrate extraction, transformation, and loading processes
- Design event-driven data architectures for real-time capture and processing
- Document data sources, definitions, and business rules in catalogs
- Improve data quality through validation, testing, and ongoing monitoring
- Create metrics and alerts to support observability and detect failures or bottlenecks
- Reduce and optimize data infrastructure costs
- Integrate domain data to create a unified analytical perspective
- Maintain solution APIs for secure, high-performance integrations
- Advance data stack capabilities through incremental technology improvements
- Contribute to squads applying AI-focused practices from product design onward
Requirements
- Demonstrated back-end development experience building data pipelines with Python and/or Node.js
- Advanced SQL expertise for manipulating, modeling, and optimizing large-scale data
- Experience designing NoSQL databases and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery and Firestore
- Strong understanding of cloud computing across AWS and/or Azure, including Google Cloud Platform Big Data solutions
- Experience orchestrating pipelines and ETL workflows with tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Dataform
- Familiarity with data governance and management frameworks including DAMA and CRISP
- Experience using Agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban in multidisciplinary teams
- GCP, AWS, or Azure certification is a plus
- Experience working in Agile digital product environments is a plus
- Previous Financial Services or Insurance experience is a plus
- Employees living in the Campinas Metropolitan Region must work from CI&T’s city offices under the current office attendance policy
