Description

  • Build community-bank relationships and generate sales by promoting SouthState Correspondent products and services
  • Keep current with the full range of SouthState Correspondent products and services
  • Strengthen customer relationships through in-bank meetings, phone calls, and written communication
  • Maintain working knowledge of SouthState Bank, N.A., its affiliates, and strategic alliance offerings
  • Coordinate relationships with bank management, division leadership, and division support teams
  • Organize customer and prospect visits throughout an assigned region
  • Help complete contact reports following customer and prospect meetings
  • Prepare and deliver comparative analyses and service presentations for prospective institutions
  • Represent SouthState Correspondent at bank-sponsored and external events
  • Develop and manage relationships with industry and market influencers, including bank consultants, law firms, trade associations, and CPAs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Six to ten years of related experience and/or training
  • Proven business development and relationship management skills in banking
  • Strong sales capabilities, preferably in a banking setting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills
  • Working familiarity with email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic computer functions
  • Ability to access and interpret information displayed on computer screens, documents, and reports
  • A secure home office without background noise or distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection, preferably cable or fiber rather than cellular data or a hotspot
  • Willingness to travel 90% of the time
