Senior Commercial Risk Client Manager

Lead service teams for large commercial accounts at The Baldwin Group, coordinating carrier relationships, risk analysis, marketing, and placement strategies.

Description

  • Manage carrier relationships for CRMG accounts
  • Lead service teams for assigned large accounts
  • Coordinate key services and shape initial placement and renewal strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial carriers
  • Market insurance programs for assigned large accounts
  • Prepare or review risk maps for assigned accounts
  • Coordinate service delivery
  • Handle special projects
  • Find ways to improve the firm, business segment, and processes
  • Escalate issues and discrepancies to appropriate leaders
  • Mentor new colleagues when asked

Requirements

  • Bring at least 10 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in commercial account management
  • Hold all licenses required by the relevant State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions where the firm operates, or be able and willing to obtain them within the first 90 days of employment
  • Have strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and individual carriers’ underwriting appetites
  • Analyze complex risk exposures and current insurance coverage, then develop suitable recommendations
  • Communicate and present effectively in writing and verbally
  • Provide excellent client service and solve problems effectively
  • Work collaboratively with CRMG professionals and colleagues in other business segments
  • Have intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Learn other firm programs and software as needed
  • A bachelor’s degree and progress toward a professional insurance designation are preferred, but not required
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
  • Be available for some travel
