Description

  • Create and maintain Terraform configurations for scalable GCP and on-premises Kubernetes environments and Docker containers.
  • Configure and tune Anthos Service Mesh and Istio to support secure, observable service-to-service communication.
  • Implement and review IAM roles and GCP quotas, maintaining encryption and secrets practices aligned with secure-by-design standards.
  • Develop Elasticsearch and Kibana dashboards to track system health and provide early alerts for performance and cost issues.
  • Plan capacity and scaling for feature releases while keeping infrastructure within approved cost and security parameters.
  • Resolve complex networking and service mesh issues across globally distributed environments.
  • Operate and preserve the highly available platform supporting Cisco’s AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and product teams to deliver trusted AI capabilities at enterprise scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in cloud or on-premises operations or DevOps.
  • Strong working knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Extensive experience implementing IAM, managing GCP quotas, and operating Anthos Service Mesh or Istio.
  • Demonstrated experience with Apigee and the ELK stack.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, and GitHub for automated delivery is preferred.
  • Experience managing hybrid traffic between cloud and on-premises platforms is preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability for cost-envelope management and capacity planning is preferred.
  • Advanced skill with cloud-provider CLIs and automation scripting is preferred.
