Description

  • Design and maintain cloud platform services, APIs, command-line tools, automation, and reusable software components
  • Create self-service tools for consistent and secure infrastructure and platform management
  • Develop production software in Go, Rust, Python, .NET, or comparable languages
  • Integrate AI platform capabilities, including agents, MCP servers and clients, retrieval systems, tool integrations, and large-language-model APIs
  • Use modular design, code review, automated testing, version control, documentation, secure coding, and sustainable release practices
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for application code, platform services, containers, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Create reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and policy-based automation
  • Work with engineering teams to uncover friction, clarify requirements, and increase platform adoption
  • Manage services across design, deployment, production readiness, monitoring, incident response, maintenance, and improvement
  • Support the cloud team and participate in the on-call rotation
  • Troubleshoot compute, containers, networking, DNS, identity, storage, data services, security controls, and deployment tooling
  • Establish observability with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, and service-level indicators
  • Strengthen reliability by reducing operational toil, addressing recurring failures, and developing resilient recovery patterns
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend options based on business value, supportability, security, reliability, and cost
  • Contribute to architecture, capacity planning, technical standards, engineering practices, cross-training, and mentoring

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of increasing responsibility in software, cloud, platform, infrastructure engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5–7 years of hands-on development with Go, Rust, Python, or .NET
  • Experience designing, testing, building, and supporting production software, APIs, services, automation, or developer tools
  • Enterprise experience with Microsoft Azure or another major public cloud provider
  • Strong knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing, identity and access management, compute, storage, certificates, secrets, and security controls
  • Experience with containers and orchestration, preferably Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
  • Hands-on Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation experience with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible
  • Experience connecting applications to large language models or AI platforms through APIs, agents, tools, or MCP
  • Experience creating automated unit, integration, functional, performance, and reliability tests
  • Experience implementing observability across applications and infrastructure
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting and systems administration capabilities
  • Experience with data or messaging platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Kafka
  • Ability to investigate complex distributed systems and production incidents
  • Willingness and ability to join an on-call rotation and support production systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred: experience with internal developer platforms, platform APIs, service catalogs, golden paths, paved roads, or self-service portals
  • Preferred: experience with multi-tenant services, asynchronous workflows, event-driven systems, or distributed systems
  • Preferred: familiarity with REST or gRPC API design and lifecycle management
  • Preferred: experience with AI engineering patterns, GitOps, policy as code, secrets management, software supply-chain security, cloud governance automation, and site reliability engineering
