- Build and maintain enterprise Google Cloud infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, and GitOps practices.
- Manage GCP organizations, projects, folders, resource hierarchies, IAM roles, and security baselines.
- Configure Shared VPCs, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud VPN, Cloud DNS, firewall rules, and load balancers.
- Provision and maintain Apigee X runtime environments, API gateways, Private Service Connect attachments, and load balancers.
- Develop and maintain hybrid connectivity across GCP, Apigee, Oracle Exadata, and JD Edwards environments.
- Apply mutual TLS, VPC Service Controls, rate limiting, and secure endpoint controls.
- Deploy, secure, and operate GKE clusters for Spring Boot microservices, AI workloads, and internal developer platforms.
- Configure and support Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and App Engine workloads.
- Create automated deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions or Cloud Build.
- Define FinOps standards, enforce labels and tags, configure budget alerts, and produce showback or chargeback reports.
- Assess resource usage, right-size infrastructure, optimize committed use discounts, and remove unused resources.
- Implement controls using Secret Manager, KMS, mutual TLS, vulnerability scanning, and binary authorization.
- Maintain centralized logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing through Google Cloud Operations Suite.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in enterprise IT or infrastructure.
- Four or more years designing, engineering, and operating production environments on Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience provisioning and supporting Apigee X or Apigee Edge environments.
- Experience managing hybrid connectivity with Oracle Exadata and enterprise ERP systems, including JD Edwards.
- Expert hands-on proficiency with Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience deploying and managing production GKE clusters and Docker-based applications.
- Deep knowledge of GCP VPC networking, Shared VPCs, Private Service Connect, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Interconnect, IAM, and GCP security controls.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Practical experience with cloud cost optimization, quota management, and resource right-sizing strategies.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification, or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
