Senior Category Management Analyst - Halifax (Onsite)
Sysco is hiring a senior category management analyst for its Halifax onsite team. The role uses data, forecasting, and category strategy to improve foodservice assortment, pricing, promotions, and profitability.
Description
- Create and execute data-led strategies for product assortment, pricing, and promotional performance
- Analyze category KPIs, investigate variances, and perform root-cause analysis
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leaders
- Manage analytics initiatives involving models and integration of new data sources
- Partner with merchandising, sales, and other cross-functional teams
- Follow industry developments, emerging technologies, and leading practices in analytics and category management
- Maintain productive relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry associations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or four additional years of relevant experience in place of a degree
- At least five years of relevant experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus other relevant software
- Customer-focused approach and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of the foodservice industry, market conditions, and competitive environment
- Ability and willingness to travel 25% to 50%
