Build blockchain infrastructure that connects protocols with Coinbase services for assets, stablecoins, and staking. Lead distributed systems, APIs, and multi-quarter platform initiatives focused on reliability, latency, and cost.

Description

  • Develop core infrastructure that connects blockchain protocols with Coinbase services supporting new assets, stablecoins, and staking
  • Create blockchain network infrastructure that turns protocol complexity into dependable platform APIs
  • Own multi-quarter programs such as chain integrations, architecture redesigns, and data migrations
  • Optimize platform latency, reliability, and operating costs
  • Establish and maintain APIs, SLOs, observability, and on-call ownership for the systems you build
  • Collaborate with product and platform teams to define data contracts
  • Deliver SDKs and foundational platform components that encourage adoption across Coinbase
  • Develop expertise across major blockchain protocols and streamline cross-chain operations

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software engineering experience
  • Proven ownership of production services within a service-oriented architecture
  • Experience designing, scaling, and operating distributed systems for high-throughput, low-latency workloads
  • Practical experience with at least two of Go, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, or comparable infrastructure technologies
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain protocols or crypto infrastructure, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, or comparable Layer 1 or Layer 2 networks
  • Ability to break complex systems into clearly bounded microservices with well-defined API contracts
  • Commitment to using generative AI responsibly with human oversight
  • Must be located in the United States
