Description

  • Take features from problem definition and solution design through release, operation, and continuous improvement
  • Create backend services, APIs, and data models that are scalable, dependable, and maintainable
  • Break down complex work, make architectural choices, and communicate proposed solutions
  • Evaluate requirements and technical approaches to find simpler, more effective solutions
  • Develop new capabilities and enhance the existing codebase, including its test coverage
  • Analyze data, logs, and customer feedback to diagnose issues and inform product and engineering decisions
  • Apply AI tools across development, refactoring, code review, testing, documentation, and investigation
  • Automate recurring tasks and improve observability, alerting, and release workflows
  • Join on-call and support rotations, resolve incidents and customer issues, determine root causes, and deliver lasting fixes
  • Plan releases and coordinate deployments
  • Work closely with Backend, Frontend, iOS, Android, Support, and other teams
  • Advance engineering practices, lead improvement initiatives, and share technical knowledge

Requirements

  • At least five years of backend engineering experience, including end-to-end ownership of complex features or services
  • Advanced PHP and Symfony proficiency
  • Strong understanding of system and API design, design patterns, clean code, and domain-driven design
  • Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and IAM
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and serverless architecture
  • Strong debugging and profiling capabilities using Xdebug and Blackfire
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices
  • Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and ExpressJS or NestJS
  • Regular use of AI in software development, including careful validation of generated output
  • Sound understanding of application security and OWASP principles
  • Independent, product-oriented judgment in technical decisions and production delivery
