Description

Design, deploy, and evolve Azure Landing Zones
Establish and manage Azure Policy governance guardrails
Maintain Entra ID integrations and Azure RBAC access models
Build and operate production Azure infrastructure with Terraform and/or Bicep
Manage infrastructure code across development, testing, and production environments
Build and operate containerized, vendor-neutral workloads portable across Azure and private cloud
Apply data residency controls to keep client data within South Africa
Create and automate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and .NET/C# web API delivery
Support the delivery and hosting of AI components for OCR, document extraction, graph analytics, and agentic AI
Maintain Git workflows covering branching, pull requests, and code reviews
Collaborate with development teams to remove delivery blockers while protecting platform stability
Work directly with enterprise clients in financial services, telecommunications, government, and other sectors
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
Promote the adoption of engineering best practices

Requirements

At least three years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience, including substantial Azure work
Production experience with Terraform and/or Bicep
Understanding of Azure Landing Zones and their design trade-offs
Working knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC, and Azure Policy
Strong Git and pipeline automation skills
Docker or comparable container build and runtime experience outside Kubernetes is advantageous
Hybrid or private cloud infrastructure experience alongside Azure is advantageous
CI/CD experience for .NET/C# web APIs is advantageous
Exposure to GitHub, including GitHub Spec Kit, and/or Intent Architect is advantageous
Experience deploying AI workloads such as OCR, document extraction, graph analytics, or agentic AI is advantageous
Experience with data residency or sovereignty controls is advantageous
Matric or equivalent qualification
Legal authorization to work in South Africa without employer sponsorship
