Description

  • Help develop and expand Ascender Pro and other internal applications.
  • Own frontend and backend engineering work, delivering features efficiently.
  • Build and maintain backend features with Python and frontend experiences with React and TypeScript.
  • Contribute to projects developed in Go when needed.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and critically review their output for accuracy.
  • Work with the engineering team to deliver production-ready code quickly.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and establish application-stack best practices.
  • Investigate, debug, and fix issues across frontend and backend systems.
  • Assist with other internal engineering initiatives as capacity permits.

Requirements

  • Advanced Python skills for backend engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and NPM.
  • Experience with Go, or the willingness to work with it.
  • Ability to work quickly and manage a high volume of engineering tasks.
  • Practical experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot, together with the judgment to assess their results.
  • Comfort working across the full stack, with a particular focus on backend systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with an independent approach to work.
  • A collaborative, approachable, humble, honest, and improvement-oriented mindset.
  • Six to eight or more years of professional software development experience.
  • A history of building and releasing production applications with Python and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
  • Go experience is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with Ascender, AWX, or Ansible automation platforms is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with event-driven systems, infrastructure automation, or DevOps tools is beneficial.
