Senior Android Engineer – Stockholm Hybrid
Lead the evolution of Kotlin-based Android applications with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform. Own releases, reliability, performance, and architecture for Justera Group’s consulting clients.
Description
- Assume responsibility for the Android application after a structured handover
- Manage Android releases, stability, performance, and end-to-end product quality
- Advance the migration from XML layouts to Jetpack Compose
- Integrate and maintain native components within Compose interfaces and lifecycle management
- Help develop the shared Kotlin Multiplatform layer alongside the iOS team
- Diagnose and resolve technical defects, bugs, and performance issues
- Record essential technical knowledge, architecture decisions, and operating processes
- Enable an effective handover to a permanent team member when the assignment concludes
Requirements
- At least five years of professional Android development experience
- Advanced practical Kotlin experience
- Strong command of Jetpack Compose and current Android development practices
- Thorough understanding of modern Android architecture and application lifecycles
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production applications used by a substantial user base
- Strong knowledge of Android reliability, performance optimization, debugging, and release management
- Professional experience developing with Kotlin Multiplatform
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of an established codebase
- Strong English communication skills
