Senior Android Developer - Hybrid in Turkey

Description
- Develop and maintain scalable Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Own the native Android layer within Flutter applications, covering architecture, integrations, and platform capabilities
- Deliver Android-native features such as home screen widgets, Live Updates, rich notifications, FCM push notifications, Credential Manager, Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, and Material 3 experiences
- Integrate AI capabilities on the native side using ML Kit, LiteRT, Gemini Nano through AICore, and Android speech and camera APIs
- Create maintainable Android architectures, reusable components, and clear boundaries between native and Flutter layers
- Investigate and fix production issues involving crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, performance regressions, networking, and Flutter engine behavior
- Profile and improve startup time, memory consumption, rendering, battery usage, and responsiveness
- Maintain reliable app behavior across Android manufacturers, OS versions, screen sizes, tablets, and foldable devices
- Strengthen testing, code review, CI/CD, release workflows, and mobile observability
- Support Android team development through code reviews, internal standards, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Track Android platform changes and Google Play requirements, translating them into technical and product proposals
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience, including production applications shipped and maintained through Google Play
- Advanced Kotlin skills and practical experience delivering production features with Jetpack Compose
- Deep knowledge of Android application architecture, process and application lifecycles, modular design, and platform APIs
- Strong understanding of Android capabilities including app widgets, services, WorkManager, push notifications, Google Play Billing, permissions, and background execution
- Working knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, structured concurrency, and thread safety
- Strong grasp of Android memory management, lifecycle-related leaks, and performance profiling
- Experience with Android Studio Profiler, Perfetto, and production diagnostic tools
- Practical experience with Gradle configuration, dependency management, app signing, CI/CD, and the complete Google Play release process
- Experience connecting native Android code to a cross-platform framework, or a strong willingness to learn Flutter
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with iOS and Swift is advantageous
- Experience with Java or legacy Android codebases is advantageous
- Experience with Wear OS, Android TV, or other Android form factors is advantageous
- Experience with Firebase, crash reporting, analytics, Play Integrity, or mobile observability tools is advantageous
