Senior Acquisition Analyst – Tampa, FL (Onsite)

Support U.S. Special Operations defense acquisition programs from MacDill AFB in Tampa. Oversee acquisition strategy, cost, schedule, performance, risk, compliance, and program decision support.

Description

  • Gather and evaluate organizational metrics and requirements
  • Develop assigned components of acquisition strategies
  • Assist with or conduct market research activities
  • Maintain accurate program information and structure data for management decisions
  • Create status reports and briefings covering policies, procedures, and acquisition milestones
  • Contribute to cost-benefit assessments
  • Define requirements and establish mission-focused goals and objectives for program support
  • Execute programs against approved plans and update policies and procedures when regulations change
  • Investigate methods for removing production bottlenecks and other operational barriers
  • Help government counterparts resolve program challenges
  • Direct resource allocation in line with program requirements
  • Assess program efficiency and effectiveness, then recommend operational improvements
  • Respond to data calls and questions about program policies and procedures
  • Contribute to requirements development with senior managers and government counterparts
  • Review programs for adherence to applicable policies and procedures
  • Track program cost, schedule, performance, and risks, and propose mitigations when needed
  • Coordinate program information across relevant personnel
  • Assess how regulations and directives affect program execution

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must hold and maintain eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance
  • DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency IAW the PWS, equivalent to DAWIA Level II, in Program Management
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 10 years of professional experience
  • At least three years of DoD experience in military communications, signals intelligence, information technology, sensors, ISR operations, sensitive site exploitation, or data management
  • Knowledge of price and cost analysis for reviewing proposals, expenditures, and established rates to assess price reasonableness or establish a negotiation position
  • Ability to apply funding rules governing obligations across multiple appropriation types
  • Ability to use precedents from government contracting case law in specific contracting contexts
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System under DoD Instruction 5000.02, Operation of the Defense Acquisition System
  • Knowledge of fact-finding, analytical, and resolution methods for complex contracting issues
  • Ability to create practical action plans for problem resolution
