Description
- Record company transactions accurately by monitoring operations and applying relevant accounting standards
- Maintain compliance with the accounting close schedule through effective processes and performance indicators
- Provide financial information and explain financial impacts to support decisions across departments
- Reconcile and analyze accounting balances, investigating and correcting discrepancies
- Evaluate account variances and explain significant movements and trends
- Submit the accounting department’s ancillary tax and regulatory obligations accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable laws
- Prepare financial statements and related notes under GAAP and IFRS
- Develop financial reports for senior management
- Recommend and implement departmental process improvements and automation initiatives
- Support internal and external audits with the required information and documentation
- Analyze variances and nonconformities, establish action plans, track implementation, and evaluate their effectiveness
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree or MBA, preferably in Finance or Taxation
- Substantial professional experience in accounting
- Experience managing projects and business processes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience using SAP, especially the FI module
- Knowledge of SAP SD, MM, and CO modules is advantageous
- Controllership experience or close collaboration with a Controllership function is advantageous
- Knowledge of accounting entries related to tax operations is advantageous
- Familiarity with the effects and changes introduced by tax reform is advantageous
