Senior Accountant – Australian Accounting (Remote Philippines)

Description

  • Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, and general ledgers for multiple entities using varied accounting systems.
  • Triage the accounts inbox, verify supplier information, review bills, and direct documents appropriately.
  • Coordinate accounts payable batch payments, supplier setups, and approval workflows across multiple banking platforms.
  • Assist with payroll, including wage calculations, leave reconciliations, and payment support.
  • Deliver end-to-end general accounting services tailored to each client’s requirements.
  • Own assigned accounting duties and complete work accurately within required deadlines.
  • Handle the routine accounting needs of assigned clients.
  • Review and maintain accurate financial records and accounting data.
  • Apply different client processes, systems, and accounting requirements effectively.
  • Adjust efficiently when onboarding new clients or transitioning between accounts.
  • Balance competing priorities and deadlines across client engagements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies, and other accounting issues.
  • Keep accounting records and supporting documentation organised and accurate.
  • Discuss accounting needs, priorities, and issues with clients and stakeholders.
  • Work independently while maintaining clear communication and accountability.
  • Assist with additional clients and accounting needs as the business expands.
  • Deliver professional, accurate, and reliable service across assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant or in a comparable senior accounting position.
  • Broad experience across general accounting functions.
  • Experience supporting clients with varied accounting processes and requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned duties.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working remotely while supporting international clients.
  • Adaptability when working across different client environments.
  • Australian accounting experience is preferred, subject to confirmation.
  • Availability for full-time work with exclusive commitment to this position.
  • Disclosure of any existing ongoing roles or client engagements.
  • Willingness to list this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”.
