Scheduling Coordinator, Evening Shift (Onsite)

Coordinate procedural schedules, authorizations, and clinical screenings for UAMS healthcare services during the evening shift. Support providers and scheduling teams while helping optimize patient access and perioperative capacity.

Description

  • Support department and clinic staff and providers
  • Coordinate procedural schedules for accuracy and efficient utilization
  • Process case requests and confirm required pre-authorizations and clinical screenings before scheduling
  • Review requested procedure times for compliance with scheduling policies and procedures
  • Work with procedural area leaders to assess placement and staffing alignment
  • Contribute to capacity, access, utilization, budget, and revenue goals
  • Deliver patient- and customer-focused scheduling support

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent formal education plus seven years of training and/or experience in business office administration, customer service, or a related area, including three years in healthcare patient registration, scheduling, or billing; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in healthcare patient registration, scheduling, or billing
  • Provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Complete annual TB screening
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Accurately manage procedural schedules in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Complete required pre-authorizations and clinical screenings
  • Follow scheduling procedures and support perioperative utilization targets
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Push and pull up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently sit, stand, bend, crawl, crouch, kneel, stoop, or reach overhead
  • Continuously communicate, hear, read, concentrate, and apply analytical thinking
