Repo Operations Vice President – New York, NY

Nomura is hiring a Repo Operations Vice President to support fixed-income funding desks in New York. The role covers repo processing, funding, settlement, controls, and operational enhancements.

Description

  • Support several funding desks serving more than 10 traders across fixed-income products
  • Manage daily position oversight, pricing, and funding activities across multiple entities
  • Assist with trade processing and lifecycle functions, including repricing, rerating, rolls, substitutions, and reconciliations
  • Contribute to the development of trading strategies and related operational workflows
  • Support settlement for repo, tri-party, securities lending, buy-sell back, and structured repo transactions across Fed, DTC, Euroclear, and local markets
  • Build effective business relationships to strengthen funding capacity, compliance, and communication
  • Identify and deliver enhancements to operational and technical processes
  • Resolve issues promptly to reduce client impact
  • Support upgrades to existing services
  • Help maintain and update operating procedures

Requirements

  • At least seven years of repo operations experience at a broker-dealer
  • At least three years of management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with fixed-income products
  • A self-directed, customer-focused, innovative, and analytical approach
  • Ability to prioritize work and perform effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Familiarity with APEX (Martini), IMPACT (BR), Loanet, BONY BDC, DTCC, and FICC RTTM/GCF and DVP is preferred
  • Experience with ECN products such as BrokerTec or Tradeweb is preferred
  • Ability to start at 7:00 a.m. and work in New York, New York
  • Must be able to work in New York, NY
