Remote Social Media Specialist in Canada

Create organic social content and campaigns for Postmedia, a Canadian news media company. Manage publishing, performance analysis, and client collaboration across brands.

Description

  • Work with Sales teams to clarify client goals and campaign objectives.
  • Develop engaging organic social content for different platforms and audiences.
  • Coordinate with clients to keep content and messaging consistent with their brands and expectations.
  • Schedule and publish posts through social media management platforms.
  • Track campaign results and spot opportunities to improve performance.
  • Present insights and results to clients and internal teams.
  • Work with Paid Social Coordinators on integrated social media strategies.
  • Keep up with social media trends, platform changes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience creating content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as SocialPilot or comparable platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail and quality.
  • Confidence working with clients and collaborating across teams.
  • Experience using Canva or a similar content creation tool.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and willingness to learn.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Must live in Canada.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • French language skills are an asset.
  • Agency experience is preferred.
