Remote Field Service Engineer - CNG and RNG Equipment

Field Service Engineer responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing CNG and RNG equipment for ANGI, a gas compression systems manufacturer. The role includes customer training and field support across North America.

Description

  • Commission, troubleshoot, and repair customer-site equipment, including CNG compressors, valve panels, dispensers, and communication panels
  • Complete warranty repairs and service work
  • Provide telephone support and answer service-related email inquiries
  • Lead electrical and mechanical testing, field repairs, retrofits, and complex root-cause investigations
  • Work on-site and on-call while supporting proprietary products
  • Train customers in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as the subject matter expert
  • Conduct equipment trial runs
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete detailed documentation accurately and on schedule
  • Evaluate test results and communicate findings
  • Conduct weights-and-measures testing
  • Operate ANGI proprietary Series II and C-Scape software
  • Interpret and assess technical prints and drawings against specifications
  • Use AX Dynamics to locate parts and review inventory records
  • Travel throughout North America as required

Requirements

  • Associate degree from a college or technical school, 3–5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Mechanical, electrical, and PLC skills
  • Ariel training
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to commission, test, and operate CNG compressors, dispensers, dryers, MSPs, and all panel types
  • Ability to use technical gauges, including digital thermometers, vibration analyzers, and Fluke meters
  • Ability to manage equipment testing and startup safely and on schedule
  • Ability to work on-site and on-call
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings to specification
  • Ability to operate ANGI proprietary Series II and C-Scape software
  • Ability to use AX Dynamics to locate parts and review inventory records
