Description

  • Deliver, direct, and supervise nursing care for patients on the unit.
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Coordinate patient discharges.
  • Teach patients and families about care after hospitalization.
  • Connect patients with community resources.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • May serve as Charge Nurse.

Requirements

  • Hold current RN licensure in the state where the hospital is located, or a compact license if the state participates.
  • Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Provide evidence of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications must be approved by the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • Charge Nurses must hold current ACLS certification.
  • One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred, but not required.
