Refrigeration Service Engineer - UK Remote
JLL is seeking a refrigeration service engineer to maintain, repair, install, and commission commercial refrigeration systems. The role supports retail clients across UK locations through remote field service.
Description
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts, and emergency breakdown repairs for commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems.
- Install and commission new refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Work in accordance with F-Gas regulations, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Record service activity, reports, and other documentation accurately in digital job management systems.
- Provide on-site customer support while coordinating with clients, store managers, and head office contacts.
- Join an on-call rota to handle emergency breakdowns outside standard working hours.
- Keep the company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order.
Requirements
- Category 1 F-Gas certification is essential.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3, or an equivalent qualification, in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Working knowledge of CO₂ refrigeration systems, including transcritical and subcritical systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- At least three years of commercial refrigeration experience.
- Experience with retail refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with major refrigeration brands such as SCM, Hussmann, and AHT.
