Description

  • Create fast, polished mobile interfaces with modern frontend technologies
  • Work with product and engineering teams to deliver features across customer-facing and internal applications
  • Produce reliable, thoroughly tested code
  • Spot opportunities for technical refinement and refactoring
  • Propose technically grounded ideas and improvements
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Support colleagues and uphold the team’s engineering standards
  • Mentor fellow engineers and help them grow
  • Promote strong engineering practices and a quality-focused culture
  • Guide the frontend experience across Bridgit’s customer, broker, and internal lending tools
  • Turn concepts and designs into intuitive, high-quality interfaces
  • Help advance design-led development across the business

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience as a frontend mobile developer
  • Practical experience building and releasing mobile applications with React Native
  • Experience using Expo and mobile deployment workflows
  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design
  • Experience connecting mobile applications to APIs and third-party services
  • Familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store release procedures
  • Able to own features from architectural planning through delivery
  • Willing to mentor colleagues, provide constructive feedback, and raise engineering standards
  • Able to apply first-principles thinking and reduce complex problems to their fundamentals
  • Strong interest in UI and UX
  • Positive approach and effective interpersonal skills
  • Careful attention to detail in documentation and ticket descriptions
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Successful pre-employment screening, including reference checks and a standard police check, required before an offer can be made
