Production Coordinator, PBS Wisconsin (Hybrid)

Coordinate broadcast, radio, and digital media productions for PBS Wisconsin. Oversee schedules, logistics, rights, assets, and quality-control workflows.

Description

  • Support multimedia producers across broadcast and digital projects
  • Coordinate production schedules, logistics, and related operational requirements with content producers
  • Research content and contribute to media production activities
  • Maintain video and audio production records using Airtable and other project management tools
  • Oversee credits, rights data, motion graphics, design assets, digital and marketing requirements, and operations and quality-control workflows
  • Administer requests and approvals for video drone flights
  • Coordinate media production logistics with internal departments
  • Create reports and financial statements for leadership and external agencies
  • Arrange logistics and secure resources for productions, meetings, conferences, and travel
  • Act as the operational contact for internal departments, external vendors, and production facilities
  • Coordinate projects from development through delivery across creative, financial, technical, and administrative functions
  • Support production research and obtain necessary assets
  • Build and maintain organizational systems and records in line with editorial policies, procedures, and industry standards

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience coordinating media production
  • Working knowledge of media production processes, workflows, and technical requirements
  • Strong organizational ability and close attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with teams in person and remotely
  • A valid driver’s license that satisfies UW Risk Management Standards
  • Availability during core business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when required
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight trips
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Preferred experience with Airtable, MediaPulse, Google Drive, or comparable project management and scheduling tools
  • Preferred familiarity with digital asset management systems
  • Preferred experience coordinating vendor contracts and license agreements
  • Preferred experience producing video for digital and broadcast distribution
  • A bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred
